OMGCon Update: Jesse Schell Talks ToonFest!

We've all had questions about Toontown: Where is it located? Why does Donald own two playgrounds? Where did Scrooge McDuck go? Who was phone? Now, we have a question for you: What would you ask if you had the chance to get an answer from the creator himself?
Jesse Schell is not only one of the original developers behind Toontown Online, but was the lead creator behind it who brought the Tooniverse to life over at Disney Online when the game was first being developed. With ToonFest right around the bend, Jesse has volunteered to remotely be part of our panel and answer questions directly from YOU!
Here are all of the details you need to know:
After founding Toontown, Jesse Schell left Walt Disney Imagineering to become a professor of Entertainment Technology at Carnegie Mellon University and create his own game studio, Schell Games. Jesse continues to follow Toontown and its fans today in hopes of officially bringing it back, and is an active supporter of Toontown Rewritten. You may have even seen him running around town on his red rabbit, Jaymo!

It's never too late to come to OMG!Con, so make sure to read all about it on our announcement and first OMG!Con Update if you're still thinking about coming. We're only one month away from the event, and we'd love to see you there. In the meantime, everyone, have fun in Toontown!

Here are all of the details you need to know:
- All players, whether attending OMG!Con or not, can submit a question right over here to be answered by Jesse Schell. All questions must be submitted by 11:59PM Toontown Time (PST) on Saturday, May 16.
- Us folks on the Toontown Rewritten team will be working with Jesse to choose the best questions about Toontown, which will be answered straight from the man himself via recording at our 11AM ToonFest panel.
- The Top Toons who submit the best questions will receive a small Toontown Prize Pack complete with some of the items we'll be giving out at OMG!Con, along with some exclusives!
- Players from all around the world are able to enter: This contest is not restricted to the US.
- Signed trading cards from Jesse will be given out as prizes for our various contests hosted at the event, and you may even find one in the winner prize pack in addition to some of the first brand-new Toontown Rewritten trading cards that we've created.
- You'll be able to see Jesse Schell's answers regardless of going to OMG!Con through the recording, which will be uploaded soon after the event is over.

Thank you for ToonTown Rewritten! Our family started with Disney's Toontown Online back in 2003 and went to the ToonFest at Burbank Studios. What an awesome and fun day that was for all! We think it is just awesome that this family fun online game has been rewritten and improved upon!!! Please keep up the great work and wish that we could attend the ToonFest you are having! I'd like to congratulate you on Toontown rewritten it has a lot of similarities and differences making it stand out but what I want to know is if the new cloud is in face The Chairman. I've seen videos of the alpha release and the Chairman himself lvl 50 cog boss come to crash the party is it true he's been re created? or is it some joke?

I'm really excited for this! My sister and I, when we were much younger, used to love playing Toontown together and we were so upset when it closed, however now even as we are much older (oops), we love to go on Toontown rewritten with each other (and maybe procrastinate doing homework). Also, because we live in Australia our timing is quite different. So when we are online, the rest of Toontown is asleep however we find it so much fun to still be connected to a game in which we love so much and have played for such a long time. Thank you so much :) Much love, MR and T

I'd like to take the time to say THANK SO VERY MUCH to the people behind the scene that have brought TT Rewritten to the true TT lovers, ya know, the ones like me that literally cried when TT closed, and of course for all the others that have come to enjoy TT as much as the rest of us. I'd also like to say THANK YOU to Jesse Schell for the creation of TT! My family and I LOVE to play! In my opinion it's the best family game EVER! It's a game that brings families together even if they're separated by a state or continent! Thanks again and Good Luck to everyone!

For the third time, I am unable to attend because of distance. In any case, it'd be great to hear about the event, especially what questions were asked. It'd even be good to see some video footage. In the meantime, the updated Bossbot HQ is FANTASTIC! The clubhouse and executive suite look very cool, and I noticed a cloud on the outskirts of Donald's Dreamland. A new cog facility, perhaps? For those unable to attend Toon Fest, let's keep on anticipating the updates. As for those who can attend, have a toontastic time. Toons of the World, Unite!
