Daily Alpha Update: Freezing Preparations

Another playground has finished construction today fellas, and I can tell you that it isn't Minnie's Melodyland. No, really, it isn't. That wasn't sarcasm.
Yep, we're doing the ol' switcharoo today. I needed to stop by Eddie the Yeti's shop to make some preparations for something, so I asked the builders to switch from Minnie's Melodyland to here. Using the same order of neighborhoods is boring, anyway. It's not like we're in some sort of game where each neighborhood is slightly more difficult than the one before it!
The shopkeepers have also moved in over to their shops in Daisy Gardens, so be sure to pay them a visit. I wouldn't recommend using Silly Street, though. Seems that there is a bit of road maintenance going on over there.

Maintenance:
? Even more major cleanup and optimization to the loading system.
? Major cleanup on street code using the optimizations made to the loading system.
Bugfixes:
? Fix a memory leak in the loading system, causing a HUGE performance increase for most clients. Sorry that it took so long to fix, but we're loving the results!
Features:
? Construction is complete in The Brrrgh! Check out the new shops open there.
? Shopkeepers have moved into Daisy Gardens.
? Widescreen support for the Toon T.A.G.S. panel.
? Redesigned GUI for whispering. It's just a concept, but please let us know what you think!

This is the BEST! Your doing a great job, and before WE know it, TTR will be in the beta! I can't wait! I hope it is done before 2014!

I know this is a little late, but I think if you could "Mix Doodles" with friends, that would be a great addition to this game. Kind of like breeding doodles, but in a much more kid friendly and appropriate way. Of course this would take time, but its just an idea. xoxo -Sal

Great update, but I really liked the position of the old GUI better. Having the whisper window closer to the T.A.G of the Toon is much more compact and easier to use IMO.

Wow! I really really really really want to play Toontown Rewritten, I have to tell ya, The work is still toontastic and I loved the livestreaming videos and the Gameplay videos, "You are a genious!"

I've played the game since I was 6, I can't wait to get this part of my life back. ( Actually I can, take as much time to make the game as great as possible )

I am loving the results on Toontown Rewritten. It seems you guys are getting things done! In no time, I am sure that it will be open to the public! If not before New Years, sometime in the first week of January.

I just wanna say thank you to air max. I am taking a computer programming class n it it's so hard to do a simple animation on a picture u must be amazing at this n I am thankful you are taking ur time out to create my childhood again can't wait tell beta it should be great!

I am soooooooo excited for Toontown Rewritten. I miss this game soooo much, and my friends all dearly. Since Toontown closed, we've grown apart - and we used to be so close. I can't wait to make more friends, and maybe even get some of my old friends back :)

I remember playing this back when this game was a year old and I had quite a blast with it, and honestly I forgot when I stopped playing but my reason was that I thought this was childish but now here I am 18 and I have regained interest. So I honestly can't wait for this to be available to the public so I can experience my childhood again so keep up the hard work and I and many others can't wait to play!

I'm understanding that some buildings and playgrounds aren't done yet. Take your time. (I guess) I don't want this to end up being buggier than the original toon town. And you are in a game by the way... I guess that was joke. XD

I am so excited! I really really want to play, so bad! Of course, I know that I have to wait, but each time I read one of these wonderful updates, I have a good feeling that it is one step closer to being done. :D

the game is looking great. I can't wait for the HQ's to be created. Most of my time will be spent in those areas while I'm not doing any tasks. Keep up the good work and I'm looking forward to testing new areas.

Cool nice job getting all these playgrounds finished but i saw one of Slates live streams and i gotta be honest,I really didnt like seeing the new whisper panel. But you know if everyone else likes it i guess its fine. I really cant wait to use it!

I can't wait to be able to login! I've been playing Toontown since I was a little kid and just when I started to rekindle my love for the game, it got shut down. Crossing my fingers for open beta soon!
