This is it, my fellow toons. The day every toon in Toontown has been dreading, and some even calling "Doomsday". As sad as it makes me to say it...
...We're taking another break.
Yep, we're going to have to take another week off. I know, it is pretty terrible. However, the difference is that this week isn't actually a week off. As mentioned earlier, the other troopers have already been called off to work on a few upcoming things, and Fat McStink and myself stayed behind a few days extra to work on parties. We're heading out today to join the others. In fact, the taxi driver is yelling at me outside to hurry up as I type this post!
Now, we're not going on a nature walk again -- We just have a lot of things to do in the upcoming weeks. We need some time to ourselves to polish up the Battle System, along with another event that's coming before that! Both of those things are a pain in the neck to do, so we don't want to pressure ourselves to rush them and then end up being terribly put together.
BEEP BEEP!
Oof, that's my ride. I better get going before they leave without me. Don't worry -- we'll only be gone for a week. Heck, we may even come up with something to keep you all entertained while we're gone. I'll catch up with you all next week for what might be the most exciting Super Saturday yet!

Yep, we're going to have to take another week off. I know, it is pretty terrible. However, the difference is that this week isn't actually a week off. • Replace a few functions that cause crashes due to the python injection fix
Bugfixes:
• Prevent a couple more server crashes related to parties
• Possibly fix a district reset relating to the Catching Game
• Fix a client crash when firing cannons
Tweaks:
• Rename the 20 and 40 song Jukebox to "Jukebox" and "Deluxe Jukebox"

I completely understand. It takes a lot of work when implementing something as big as the Battle System and the enemies themselves. I will wait in awe of the biggest update to Alpha since Alpha! :D

Heck if you complete a milestone on Wednesday I wouldnt mind seeing it on Thursday! The suspense is killing me :(

No rush, Sir Max. You've been working real hard and you deserve a good break to make things perfect. Let us know when you get back so we can keep checking on the rest of the updates! One of the last major hurdles, as you said before, is the battle system! Once you complete that, then I'm sure we'll be into beta real soon! Good luck on the break and please release the launcher for 10.6 so I'm able to play!! Because that's the one I have and I don't wanna update to 10.7. THANKS GUYS AND I CANNOT WAIT FOR THE RELEASE!!!

You guys have to understand, they are facing the biggest challenge of their development: Making the cogs. They aren't taking a break, they are ceasing updates so they can work on the Battle system. Be patient, and grateful that this project exists.

Don't complain guys, they need the break so they can fix up and make the Cog battles work. If they didn't take a break we would have a very broken Battle System. The TTR team can't just add things to the game like magic. They have to squash lots of bugs and glitches to make the game work properly.

For all you guys that are complaining, I have to say this. I think that once they implement the battle system, (Which is obviously what they are working on) they would be ready to close Alpha and come in Beta. This isn't something to be sad about, it's something to be excited about.

Guys, seriously stop getting all mad at them. They should be allowed to take 5 years if they want considering that they are making a GIANT game for FREE. Let them take as many breaks as they need, at least they are working on it extremely consistently. You need to remember that it takes time to make a video game and they are still moving quickly through it.

On regular Toontown, they never worked quite the way they should... for as long as I can remember, anyway. Wait, how many Doomdays have Toontown had? Thought the last one was the butterfly invasion!

Alright, i got a little announcement for people who are saying they hate TTR and are real upset at TTR for taking another break. You know, if it wasn't for them, we wouldn't even have our favorite game back. Some of you are saying they are taking too long. Well, I'd like to see you guys who are saying that design an entire game just like this one in 6 months or less. Yah, I thought you couldn't do it. I am thankful for the people who are encouraging TTR and being patient. Those are the kind of people who deserve Alpha Keys and also a gold medal! I wonder if the other thing is gardening? Furthermore, I really wish I could play the game without the battle system like the alpha testers are doing now. Just for a short time so I could earn some beans, catch up on fishing again, etc. etc.

Take your time to make the game as polished and great as possible, however long it takes :P Don't listen to the idiots down there trying to rush you, quality over quantity.

Thank you for all of the effort your team is putting into the game, and all while trying to keep those of us who can't play still feel a part of the story. It is just depressing to see already that there are people who can't appreciate just how great this is and can't be patient. Come on toons of the world! Give them a break, it's not like we're paying them to do any of this! They are doing this for the kids and adults out there who truly love the game. They want to see those happy faces continue to smile. Isn't that enough??

I think it's perfectly fine if you take a break! You guys have done an AMAZING amount of work done on Toontown, and something as big as the battle system needs time to be worked on, after all. So you guys breaking for a week isn't the end of the world or anything. So if people get mad about the long break, you'll be able to blow them away with how great the next Super Saturday is!

Anytoon who doesn't complain about you guys taking too long deserves a spinning gold star. You can't bring back a game overnight people! The amount of work they've done in just a few months is incredible! And they're doing this for you! For free! Why would you complain about that?! We're all excited, but the game will come out soon :D

I completely understand. It takes a lot of work when implementing something as big as the Battle System and the enemies themselves. I will wait in awe of the biggest update to Alpha since Alpha! :D

Wow, development! Maybe the big surprise will be that cogs are finished? Who knows! I stay tuned everyday, and my friend, Kelsey, always wants to know the toony goodies! I just wanted to say, wow! This site hasn't been sued yet? Not that I believe it will, but, on the bright side, it hasn't! I always had a feeling Toontown would come back to me, and guess what. It did! You guys are making so many children happy, like, Charlie, me, and Kelsey. And of course, many other toons! A lot may have never played this, but I surely have. But let me tell you. I never thought, one website, like this, could get SO many Alpha Testers, in that amount of time! You guys really are rocking! I love you all and I really hope next Saturday it's released. I wish people would take time to read and understand the updates here before complaining- I know it can be frustrating to have to sit out and wait for something important to you but these guys aren't actually pausing development, they're just working behind the scenes to alleviate some of the pressure. I imagine working to a deadline every day to get something pushed out to us is pretty tricky and they are in a crucial stage of development so it really is totally reasonable for them to say "Hey, we've been pushing real hard to get something out to you every day, but now we're going to work on something quietly and relaxedly so we don't ruin it." It makes total sense. Plus, may I add, these people aren't doing this to steal your money or to make an easy profit. They're doing it to bring back the joy of the original Toontown which we all loved immensely and for anybody to complain about their decisions, I don't know. It's just harsh. They're working hard to create a good product for us all and yet there are people on here saying "Come on guys we got like 1000 people waiting for the release and your breaking?!" and "ARRGGH! I've been playing this game on and off since '05. I remember getting my account for learning to ride a bike without training wheels haha. I'm mean they're taking their break from updates just to work on BIG stuff. Stuff that they don't have to do for us. They didn't even need to do any of what they've already done. Thanks to them we are getting a great game back and keeping a great community (for the most part, that's right Toon Valley, looking at you) alive. So patience is a virtue.

Guys, It's actually a good update. The reason why it's a good update is that, since they're going on a break, the next super saturday will have loads of updates and a blog! Hopefully a battle system! Also, be thankful, without TTR you'd be doing something else not know this existed (Which is WAYYYY longer than a week).

If anybody knows if Radiant is playing TTR in the future, I hope as soon as this comes out, There will be an add. Anyway if you know me on old toontown, I'm a small maroon duck named Super sandy. (56 laff) Keep up the good work and if you are rushing the TTR team, Be Ashamed of yourself. TTR Has been making this the best game in the history of games. I hope you guys make a goat, A cow or something like farm animals or like wolves and forest like toons. I will really be amazed if you make a goat, I always wanted to play as a goat! My whole entire life, So please make a goat or at least a new animal. I love you guys, Keep up the interdependence at working. You guys deserve a break from working hard, Your approval has been just wow. So I look right forward the update. And this is for YOU BUDDY CLAN, CHAINED SOUL CLAN\PACK AND WIND CLAN\PACK. You have all been kind and lighthearted, Love ya TTR Team and You packs and clans!

Though i "comepletely" support this whole break thing, I suggest maybe only one or two days off because we really need this game, unless you want to release an alpha key to everyone, please don't take many long breaks.

Thank you all for putting this game together. Key words in this post almost made my hopeful toon meter explode. "Battle System" and "most exciting Super Saturday yet" are great hints to tell that this game is coming together. I'm guessing alpha is in it's last stages. After alpha, there is Beta, then public and all toons will be happy! Thank you all for working so hard. I know for some toons it is hard to be patient, but I bet my lucky ear that most of us toons are patiently waiting, and are more excited than a mouse in a bucket of cheese. Or a rabbit in a safe full of carrots. Or a bear in a giant jar of honey. Or a dog in a pile of bones. Or... you get the idea.

Also, for those complaining remember that before TTR, there was another project that failed because they tried to get TT out too fast. Patience is necessary if you don't want a game that will crash and get hacked all the time.
