The Silly Spotlight: Slappy

We haven't talked about Slappy much ever since... Doomsday. You know. The day that the Cogs invaded our town. But there's plenty of new Toons though who hardly know the fellow. Who is Slappy, you ask? We're back for another issue of The Silly Spotlight to tell you all about him!
Don't let that headline fool you -- although Slappy was Flippy's foe, they were great pals. While Flippy used Pies and Fireworks to woo the town, Slappy used Jellybeans and Hot Air Balloons. He even turned Toons into Polar Bears on Christmas!
Flippy was the underdog of the election, quite literally, due to Slappy's charisma and even higher Laff points than Flippy. (Back then, he had the highest around -- which was only 42! Ha!)
Slappy won the vote by just a few hundred more than Flippy, but just as the celebration begun, something unexpected happened. A robot flew down from the sky, dressed in a fancy suit with a big smile. A Yesman. Slappy didn't know what was happening -- no one did -- and he went sad in Toontown Central. We haven't seen him since.
It was during the first Toon Council meeting that Lord Lowden Clear arrived, showing off his Cog Disguise and Cog battling tactics. He said that he had no idea where to even begin looking for Slappy... But Doctor Surlee, however, had a couple of ideas.
The hunt is on, Toons, and it has been ever since his disappearance. The Cogs may have taken the rightful ruler of Toontown, but trust me, Flippy has been searching for Slappy ever since.
Flippy's Foe
Back when Toontown was founded, things were simple. There were very few residents, and the town could live in peace. Mayor Mickey decided, however, that it was best to hold an election between the two most "Toon Enough" Toons he knew: Flippy Doggenbottom and Slappy Quackintosh.Don't let that headline fool you -- although Slappy was Flippy's foe, they were great pals. While Flippy used Pies and Fireworks to woo the town, Slappy used Jellybeans and Hot Air Balloons. He even turned Toons into Polar Bears on Christmas!

The Rightful Ruler
The official Toon Council Presidential Election between Flippy and Slappy was hosted by Alec Tinn, where all Toons could put their vote on who they wanted as President. You may think that Flippy won, since he is our current President, but... It was actually Slappy.Slappy won the vote by just a few hundred more than Flippy, but just as the celebration begun, something unexpected happened. Searching for Slappy
Flippy was able to stop the Yesman with one of his prized pies -- which made him the one to discover the Cog's weakness. The invasion only grew larger from there, but we were able to fight them back so that no Cog will ever enter the playground again. Flippy won the Presidency by default, but only accepted it reluctantly.It was during the first Toon Council meeting that Lord Lowden Clear arrived, showing off his Cog Disguise and Cog battling tactics. Hm... I have learned quite bit from the election myself. As I am only 106 laff, I haven't been in Toontown for the election. But if we DO find Slappy, will Flippy not be president anymore? I have so many questions, but I think I would have to find Flippy and tell him Toon to Toon. Anyways, keep the search going, and Toons of the world, Unite! Love, Mar

This is very interesting to learn about Slappy's inside story. I always notice that in Bossbot HQ, the Chief Executive Tower has been left untouched since the HQ was first around. Maybe the Chairman is holding Slappy hostage there under heavy security! I would love to fight and stop the Chairman once and for all when that tower does open soon!

I hope the toons at toonhq find slappy and quick, flippy is important enough to be slappy's Vice president, we toons will do our part to make sure the cogs dont get a chance to take flippy either, lest we become leaderless, you can count on us to try our best to look for clues as to slappy's whereabouts.

It felt good taking down the cogs that day! I didn't have an alpha key but I did watch the event live. Slappy is probably being held by th bossbots in the executive office tower. I wish I could be a hero and charge in... well only time will tell.

To this day, I get excited just going through the memories of pieing the Cogs back to their headquarters! At this rate, I'm eager for information regarding the next assault on the Cogs to save Slappy (and Team LHAAFTBBHQ!)

I have read all about the election and watched videos so I know that Slappy should have been transported back to the playground like everyone else who went sad. So... what if he did! What if he was taken by a cog! Another possibility... what if Slappy spawned in the 'Legal grey area' that us Toons [and doctor surlee] discovered a few months ago.... What do you think?

But we won't let TTR go down. We will defeat all of those cogs and get our actual president back.

hmmm, the hunt for slappy should be a side storyline. like a thread of missions which eventually leads to finding him. a good twist for the storyline-of-my-dreams would he went off undercover to investigate, and he stays undercover after, so no NPCs need to be added in TTC afterwards.

I believe that Slappy (and Flippy's Doodle, Fluffy) are being held in the Executive Offices. I also believe that the other Doodles may be held there as well. I have the Slappy Card from the member mailer. However I did not get to play the doomsday demo because of the time when I started playing the game. Can't wait to meet Slappy if you find him Flippy. Toons of the work unite!

it may actually be good for Slappy to have been with the cogs for so long. he would have learned so many things that could help us fight cogs even better than before

What if Slappy was turned into a cog? I know, sounds zany, but it could be possible, based on the cogs we battle daily. He could also be sad FOREVER... but we will figure that out sometime later. For now, let's keep searching.
