Under New Management: Testing Continues

Posted by The Mint Auditor on February 15, 2024 at 2:00 PM

Time is money, Toons. I’ll be brief.

The Mint Auditor gearing up for taking down Toons' antics

Those of you who cashed in on an opportunity to infiltrate my mint facilities last weekend have much to account for. Deactivated Goons were discovered, and numerous Cog employees are unaccounted for. According to my calculations, 3,576 Cogs went bust and 107 facilities were defiled across all Cog Departments. The total damage that you Toons got away with is hard to credit.

Whilst I have deduced that more Top Toons are making plans this weekend to crash my facilities, I’m confident that it won’t amount to much. I have taken stock of my options and invested time into improving security measures. Any Toons who visit my facilities this weekend will pay a hefty price. The changes are sure to tip the balance of the battles in my favor.

Your strategies are depreciating in value, Toons. You can count on that.

Playtest 2 Schedule

Friday, February 16 @ 2:00 PM PST - Sunday, February 18 @ 11:59PM PST

This weekend will remain open to members of the Toontown Partner Program, as well as additional "Top Toons" from around the Toontown Community, such as content creators, community moderators, and winners from The TOONY Awards!

Check in with some of your favorite content creators and Toontown Partners who may be streaming throughout the playtest!

Playtest Patch notes

Based off feedback and interactions from last week's playtest, we've altered some of the changes put in place from last week's Patch Notes! You may take a read of these Updated Patch Notes before your playtest, but it would be most appreciated to hold off any reactionary feedback until you've tried it out in-game yourself!

Informed feedback is much more valuable than initial reactions, so we encourage you all to first try out what we've put together to see how we made this update work. This all really helps us make Toontown better, and we can't thank you enough for taking the time to share your thoughts after trying out our playtest.

Do note that these patch notes may change in the following weeks as we may be making changes based on playtester interaction/feedback!

The updated notes do not refer to organic throw. Is that no longer being changed? :)

You’re done for, Advisor!

I still don't like the sound gags carry capacity being nerfed, but the org status is rly good.

i love the new cogs so cool

I appreciate the changes, although I hope that in the next updates you include a brief mention of what has been changed since the previous patch notes. Reading through the PDF again with a magnifying glass to find small differences might be tedious.

these updated patch notes are so much better!!! i was really upset with the throw changes before and now the sound nerf doesn't seem so bad

Scooby Rat said on February 15, 2024 at 9:52 PM
Sound needed the nerf. People relied on it way too much.

Ah, now this is a cog who knows his numbers. I myself have been through the Bullion Mints plenty of times. Believe it or not, I had to do 25 of them just to get 3 Laff from a shop keeper so that I could go on to start a Lawbot suit. Could you believe it? 25 Bullions, and I dare say those older Supervisors truly didn't know how to budget their cogs in order. It took to complete... But The Mint Auditor seems to know how to budget his coins. Truly, I am most excited to meeting The Mint Auditor face to face. Three cheers to The Mint Auditor!

The updates look like a step in the right direction! Can't wait to see wait happens going forward!

very excited for the new cogs. but noticed there has been a lot of lag in the servers lately. hope this won't be an ongoing issue.

I heard that the update had changed a lot. In the Cashbot Headquarters, they took out the Dollar and Coin mints and changed up the gag accuracies for sound and throw gags. Thank you to the Toontown Rewritten team for bringing such wonderful changes to this game! I can’t wait for the update to actually come out.

Are we getting new Cogs and stuff or are these exclusively just for these posts? Bc I just saw TWO cog types that I've never seen before and they look a lot more high poly than the regular cogs, making me wonder if the cogs are getting overhauls on their designs or if we're getting brand new cogs.

I'm new to toontown

I just hope all these changes and rumors I am hearing about all the changes on Toontown rewritten aren't leading us into a new Toontown pay per month site. Is this why all the changes? So, Disney has no leverage? I hope I am wrong...
