Olá, Toontown! Luciano Scoop here! You may know me as editor-in-chief for the Tenor Times Newspaper, but today I am leaving the formal world of broadsheets behind and tackling something a little less press-tigious. Wait, what am I writing? Err, an article for the “Toontown Times”? Oh, a blog post for Festa Junina!

Festa Junina is my favorite festival of the year and is celebrated by many of Toontown’s citizens! Every year, minha família, the marvelous Scoops, hang up handcrafted paper lanterns and vibrantly colorful banners to decorate! Festa Junina is celebrated throughout the entire month of June and sometimes the festivities continue all the way into July! The Festa Junina party don’t stop!

Do I smell more cocada? Err, right, I’m in the middle of a blog post. Desserts can wait… for now.

Dancing takes up a key part of Festa Junina. Believe me, if I could dance as well as Waltzing Matilda, I’d spend the entirety of June on the dance floor. No, I didn’t step on everyone’s paws last year! Err… that was Flippy! A popular dance that Toons take part in during Festa Junina is the quadrilha, and there is also an upbeat style of music called forró which is commonly played during this month. Let me tell ya, it really gets you moving!
