Welcome one, welcome all to the first installment of ToonFest: The Great Fanfair daily update! In order to keep every Toon up to speed on all the happenings here at GalaxyCon OKC, we’ll be providing regular updates about all the exciting things occurring here at ToonFest! Without further ado, let’s jump right into it! 

Welcome to ToonFest

For our opening act, we welcomed Toons from far and wide to ToonFest: The Great Fanfair. That’s right, folks. People from all over the world came to attend the festivities. Word on the street is that someone traveled 36 hours straight in order to attend! Talk about dedication! Toons of the world, unite! 

Of course, a Toon Party can’t exist without Cogs trying to rain on our parade! Fortunately, it was just our dear friend, Flunky, who was suspiciously eager to take photos with Toons holding dangerously silly gags. Joining him, the Toon Council President himself was in attendance. Flippy kept a keener eye than a Legal Eagle eye on that Cog to make sure he was on his best behavior. 

That’s not all, folks! Sound the fanfares because congratulations are in order! Congratulations to Ben and Airyanne on their engagement! We’re elated to have been a part of their special moment at the ToonFest booth and we wish you the best! 

Raising the Curtain on Toontown Rewritten

Our first official panel is one for the Shticker Books! These progress updates on projects announced at last year’s ToonFest had everyone on the edge of their seats! This roster is rather hefty, so let’s High-Dive right in! 

Kicking the panel off, this year’s ToonFest code items were announced, revealing 16 new neck accessories! Toons will be dressed to the nines in these head-turning neck and bow ties! We can’t wait to see how you all style these stylish accessories!  These will be available until June 8th.

Toontown Remastered, the retexturing and reimagining of the Toontown Playgrounds, has made huge strides in progress and will be coming to a neighborhood near you! Donald’s Dreamland will be the first Toontown Remastered Playground experience, which will be revealed in tomorrow’s update. Other remastered Playgrounds will be rolled out as they are completed, so stay TOONed for those! 

Gags n’ Gears For Good, a non-profit project in which the community can purchase official Toontown Rewritten merchandise where 100% of the profit goes to charity, is gearing up for action! Keep your eyes (and especially your bananas) peeled on the Toontown Blog in the coming weeks for a survey on Gags n’ Gears For Good! 

In Toontown’s latest neighborhood, Clear Coasts, construction is swiftly underway! Find a funky groove to Toontown music remixes on a dazzling new dance floor. Want to go for a swim? Take stylish swimming tubes with exclusive sound effects to any body of water in Toontown! 

The spotlight for the evening shone on Under New Management’s progress update! Under New Management is FINALLY here! That’s right, folks! Technical Toons are working around the clock to get this update live. Get ready to formally meet Cogs, Inc.’s newest supervisors in their respective revamped facilities. For those with maxed Cog Disguises, prepare to upgrade your suit to version 2.0! New challenges await us as the Cogs’ corporate restructuring is upon us. Are YOU Toon enough to stop them in their tracks?

Toontown Online: Meet the Developers 

Former Toontown Online developers reunited to share their stories and experiences on the team, as well as answer some burning questions from the community. Did you know that Jesse Schell used a mouth harp to make that ‘boing’ sound for Toontown trampolines? 

Jesse Schell, Shawn Patton, and Mike Goslin walked down memory lane and even had a first look at the finalized Under New Management update, fiercely fighting the Scrap Factory and the First Fairway.
