We've been holding a contest for the best knock-knock jokes to add to the game on Toontown Central Forums. The winners each day will receive an Alpha Key!

Oh yay! Toontown rewritten updated! But, if the publisher is reading this, I have some concerns. If Disney sees this, with all the Disney characters in it, it'll automatically be shut down and you might go to court. And I am very much happy that Toontown still lives on, but I don't want ANYONE to go in court up against DISNEY. They have MILLIONS. They can afford a lot of things. I hope you read this. Not trying to be a downer at all. But you would need to change the name of everything. No Brrrgh, Donald's Dreamland, Donald's Dock, Minnie's Melody Land, Toontown Central or anything. It also cant look anything like Toontown. Nothing can be called the same. Like cogs cant be called cogs. And I think it's copyright if it's called toontown rewritten still. Im trying to keep you guys out of trouble. Sorry if I annoy you, but I think you might need to change the name of Toontown Rewritten to like... ToonsVille or something.

I've always loved Toontown, I'm not getting my hopes up for an Alpha key, but Toontown has been one of my favourite childhood games, I've always wanted to play Toontown Rewritten, so I can just see my toon in action again. :)

Oh boy! i'm extremely exited for the game to begin!!!! also... i planned on what my character is gonna be : a Blue Horse, with a White Shirt and Purple Belt Shorts, named The Brrr... ALWAYS in Brrrgh, Realm Blank Canvas, and my catch phrase is Oh boy! (as in exited or sarcastic, mostly for REAL exited) anyways instead of saying Hi or Hello... i say Sup! ok, well im 14 now and the last time i a played toontown was 5 years ago. i remember getting on as soon as i got back home from school. i would ask my parents for member ship every time it expired, good times... sure, all my extremely old toon friends never went on TT EVER again. and of course, they are gone forever. when i heard TT is getting shut down i imediatly felt down. it was like taking a piece out of me that can never be filled. Thanks developers of TT rewritten, hope i can play this game again and see my old toon. STAY TOONTASTIC

I am really excited for the release of this! I hope this captures toontown the way i remember it. I played toontown from the second i could reach the keyboard and i hope you can recreate this game from when i was little :') Keep being Toontastic. Joey, I would just like to thank you so much. When I was about 4-5, my brother got Toontown. I watched him play, then I made my own account. I made a small red mouse named Jerry. I learned to type. I learned to make FRIENDS. Eventually, after a handful of years, I moved to other games. But Toontown has a special place in my heart. My heart was shattered like glass when I found it closed. Kinda down I didn't get a key, but I guess a lot of people didn't get one. I'll be happy when it gets released to pubic though! :) By the way, I was wondering if they'd use these jokes on the side doors of buildings in the streets. Also, i wanted to know if this would be EXACTLY like the original. I hope so, because I liked the old one when the gag choices were light blue instead of dark. I think what's taking them time is to submit all the words you can say into the FreeChat. I liked it because there was NO way someone could say something negative. The reason I, and most people, disliked it was because if you so much as misspelled a word it wouldn't let you say it. I've had like 3 different characters because I kept forgetting my account password. One was 89 Laff with maxed Throw and Squirt with lvl 5 sound, lvl 6 drop, lvl 6 toon up, and I think frame 13 of lure. The others had like around 60 Laff, sound, lure, and training for drop. Yes, I'm trying to make this a really long comment so it's noticeable. I've played toontown since I was four and now I'm in middle school. It seems like such a long time. I just hope nobody takes the name Skip Flipperpoof because it brings so many good memories.

The alpha key thingy works, and you can easily make an account. But when I click the PLAY button nothing happens! I contacted someone from the staff and he said the website should be ready and alpha will be released today! (which was tomorrow according to that time)

Hey guys and i just wanted to tell you i'm just saying that TTR is and always will be like toontown! But maybe they will add way better Updates because Disney really didn't really care about updating and maybe the hacks? But toontown rewritten is way a better company and i know that because they made this website because they care. So don't think they do not care cause they DO! I'll be waiting until the game is released to the public, but I have to say, this is a huge improvement from the old website. I actually wasn't this would work, but the update only proves that work is definitely going on and the game is doing very well.

I can't let a day pass by without thinking of Toontown's Closure. Nothing can change the way I feel for the game. That's why I'm not playing games like Wizard101 And CP to make up for this loss. I just hope the people who work on Toontown Rewritten know what they are doing.

Well, I just heard about this from a friend a while back, and I'm quite happy to not be an alpha tester, but I'll hope to jump in when y'all get to beta eventually, or just hen you go live. In the meantime, thanks for bringing back a version of Toontown, and here's hoping you don't get a "cease and desist" letter from Disney at any point. :)

Just wanted to say this game was a part of my childhood. I played for seven years, and nearly cried when I got the email from Disney saying they were taking it down. I'd even had the same TTC doodle all those years, on my maxed toon. It makes my heart ache that Disney could have taken something this special from so many people, but I think what you guys are doing is spectacular. You're going to make a lot of people very happy. I honestly couldn't believe Toontown was gone. Sure I never really played it anymore but every once in a while I would go on for a week or two and remember old memories. I did some research and thank god I found this. Once this is released to the public i'll be sure to play. I just wish it holds up to my expectations... So many things the old Toontown could have fixed is hopefully fixed here. Many people are counting on you guys. All I have to say is thank you. You are helping my old childhood memories live on. I played toontown since 2004. it was the funnest game ever since, I made parties fighted cogs and now look, It's closed. I ould be MORE than GLAD to start with a 15 laff Toon. But hey, It's better than nothing. I was lvl. 110 Before it closed. I had alot of freinds there.I helped alot of toons on my journey and made alot of freinds. And with this site, I am given hope. That I can play toontown again.

This website has changed my whole perspective on the Toontown closing situation. Thank you to EVERYONE who created this game. You all are amazing. You actually care about the fans! Thank you so much! You guys are awesome! And,I do have a question. Will alpha keys be needed throughout all the game? Or will they be removed when Beta comes out? Thank you! Have a toontastic day!
